She sat in an empty classroom.
The desks and chairs strewn in careless manner over the floorboards.
The windows were open and a light, warm afternoon breeze fluttered the thin curtains.
Sunlight streamed in, illuminating the whiteboard. Scribbled on it was the leftover formula from a dismissed Math period.
At that moment, she was the only living being in the world.
Yet, it was a comfortable, soothing tranquility.
She closed her eyes, enjoying the moment of solitude.
And the peace that no longer existed.
That no longer belonged to her world.
When she opened her eyes, the classroom was gone.
